Terms of Service
Effective 9 October 2026
Using Tonalith
Tonalith is a browser-based photo grading application currently offered as a public beta. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your content
You retain ownership of photographs and other content you open or create with Tonalith. You are responsible for having the rights needed to use that content. Tonalith does not claim ownership of it.
Privacy and technical diagnostics
Our Privacy Policy explains local photo processing, browser storage, and the limited technical information sent to hosting and diagnostics providers, including Sentry and PostHog. These terms do not grant Tonalith ownership of your photographs or authorize uploading them for analytics. Where separate consent is required for a processing activity, accepting these terms does not replace that consent.
Permitted use
You may use Tonalith for personal or commercial image editing. You may not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass access or security controls, distribute malicious code through it, or use it in violation of applicable law.
Beta software
The beta may contain errors, change without notice, lose locally stored state, or become temporarily unavailable. Keep original photographs and independent copies of important work. Features described for future editions are plans rather than guarantees.
Intellectual property
Tonalith, its interface, software, branding, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service, but do not transfer ownership of Tonalith or its software.
Disclaimer
Tonalith is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or preservation of data, to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tonalith will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of images, edits, revenue, or data arising from use of the beta.
Changes and availability
Tonalith may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the beta and may update these terms. Continued use after updated terms are published means you accept the revised terms.
